Duties and responsibilities: A fireman is charged with duties ranging from saving lives to keeping firefighting equipment clean. At a moment's notice, a fireman must be ready to perform job functions such as rescuing people or animals from burning or collapsed buildings, fighting fires and providing emergency medical assistance.

Education: Paralegals may be trained on the job, but more commonly they can complete undergraduate programs in paralegal studies at the certificate, associate degree and bachelor's degree levels. Master's degree programs may also exist as continuing education options for professionals that need legal training.
