STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT
“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
Abraham Lincoln

I think that he is trying to say that you always have to be with a person that always chooses the right thing but when he is choosing the wrong you have to get away from him. For example if my friend is choosing the right thing to do but then starts to choose the wrong then I should get away from her.

“Character is higher than intellect.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think he is right because yes I think that if you have intellect but no character you are not going to get no were in life for example if you go in a job and you are very good at it but you don't have good personality then they would not hire you because the customers would not like you .so I think that in order for you to be successful in life you have to have both of this things character and intellect.
